<font size="1">Well, the fans on the bbs love it and when it's all said and done, that's what counts because their initial reactions are important for many reasons. Oddly, it makes me sad. Not the song; other things ........ frankly, I don't think that I care for the song. It just seems to me to be a step back to sappy love songs, and Darren is better than that. BUT you know what??? In another place and time, I think maybe I would have liked it too. Or at least tried harder to like it. He has a sweet voice and it's a pretty thing. Sort of bland (in my opinion), but pretty enough. </font>

Dyan can I just say that siggy cracked me up!

Now the song, well I closed my eyes and just listened and I could easily get lost in it, felt warm and cosy & his voice so powerful and rich. I do however reserve further judgment till I've heard it all, but off the top of my head classic SG ala affirmation era.

awww Kat I hope you get it to work soon, it's still ok for me, however, reading the official bbs's I know a lot of ppl were having probs.

I have now read through the official bbs's and all I can say it's like being hit with a sledgehammer realising just how far 'distanced' I feel from all of it now [img]confused.gif[/img] I can eagerly anticipate but without the heady excitement of days of old...maybe I'm just an ol boring fa*t now [img]tongue.gif[/img]

It would be great if DH com could find a way to preview the whole song like Robbie Williams official site does, but I guess that is in the hands of the record company isn't it? *This is not being ungrateful or critical just a random thought*

anyhooooooooo my opinion

Its only a 30 second clip so I feel there will be many more layers to this song yet. His voice gets to me and it just infiltrates through to my inner core and I cant help that.

Now it could be a pure love song after all but I was kind of expecting that. Since firstly its got to go on SG greatest hits.. some of their GHS being Truly and IKILY thus you want to capture that market and take it over to solo Darren. Its a single and as much as we all adored Darkness as a single it didnt work. It seems the masses like their love songs. I think thats what they are thinking.. write a love song as big as SGs love song bring the crowds to Darren with that song and that brings sales.

In saying all that I actually enjoyed the song so far. I think theres more to come in the song and if theres not I think it was delibrately chosen to the single for the love song reason.

Yeah Barb probably closer to his own albums release date they may do something like that.

bonjovi.com (record company site) put up the clips to the songs for BJs one that is coming this month.

I think since this song is on both albums and a single very soon they are testing the waters with.

I am sure there are going to be completely different songs on the album.. but a good ole love ballad always gets people in. Plus I think its in SG-ish vein. I always think the first single on an album is the commercial song they always write for such a purpose. I dont know if the world would be ready for a Mine like song as a first single lol

I just wanted to add that I think I can accept it for the reason that TTATS fulfilled in me every bit of angst I needed from him. That and the fact I think this album will have a range of differing emotions in songs coming through.

Plus *rob thomas voice* god help me I'm weak.. I like the actual way he pronounces "darling" lol
